About InfluenceMapWe are a London UK based non-profit think tank working on the cutting edge of climate and sustainability issues. Our highly original analysis of the climate agenda has been covered by media globally, used and acted on by hundreds of investors, and has informed numerous campaigns. We are probably best known for our unique platform for analyzing corporate lobbying on climate policy. At InfluenceMap we strongly value diversity, equity and inclusivity in our work, which we view as critical to our mission and strategy.Position SummaryThis is a fantastic opportunity to bring your development skills to a fast growing and highly impactful global climate change think tank. You will be a key member of the InfluenceMap team working closely with the Executive Director and key team leaders in managing our funding and development processes. InfluenceMap maintains an existing base of philanthropic foundation partners who share our values and goals and recognize our impacts. In line with the pivotal role InfluenceMap plays in driving global systemic change, we are in a process of expanding our funder base. You will manage relationships with existing funders as well as identifying new opportunities and working with the Executive Director to convert these to new partners. Our focus is on mutually beneficial long-term relationships with our funding partners. We are a highly data driven organization and our development/funding processes are highly automated and make full use of cloud-based efficiency tools.ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of all funding administration processesEvolve our funder-focused messaging and communications materialsManage the funder component of our Salesforce CRM system, ensuring all milestones, leads and contacts are accurate and up to dateWorking with team leaders manage the delivery of all funding related reporting, proposals, budgets and other written communicationMaintain a continual process of tracking new opportunities globally via networking, web searches and communications with existing fundersWork closely with the Executive Director to ensure continual face to face/online communications with existing funders and suitable new leadsYou will report to and work closely with the Executive Director and key team leaders. We have teams based in the UK, the US, and Japan. This position is based out of our London office with remote working possible. You will be expected to be thoroughly comfortable with the latest cloud-based efficiency and communication tools.Skills and ExperienceAt least 2 years' experience in a development or marketing function, preferably in a not-for-profit environmentYou will be self-motivated and thrive when working in a globally distributed, virtual team environmentAn interest and passion for environmental/climate related causesExcellent administrative and written communication skillsHigh degree of comfort with cloud-based productivity tools (MS Excel/Word, Dropbox, Salesforce, communication tools).
