Vision for Education are seeking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant who has worked across EYFS and Key Stage 1. Ideally the correct candidate has at least 6 months working in either, ideally both stages. A nurturing, proactive and engaging approach is key to this role as the children are in such a critical age of development. The role will start immediately for the correct candidate.
You will be predominantly working in EYFS with some KS1 support. The school is situated in quite an affluent area of S65. The 1 form entry school has a very close family feel, it is important to them that you will be able to come in and fit straight into the ethos of the school.
You will be working on average 4 days per week in EYFS as you may have to be floating in to KS1 to provide a small amount of extra cover to help support phonics sessions and core subjects. The school has little challenging behaviour, EAL or pupil premium but does have a moderate level of SEND needs. A great understanding of inclusive practices is needed. You will be providing whole class support as prompted by the class teacher so help ensure that great levels of progress are continued to be made.
To be considered for the position, you will:
At least Level 2 or equivalent TA qualifications
Paediatric first aid trained
Fantastic classroom management skills
6 months experience in at least 1 key stage mentioned
