Customer Service Manager (Duty Manager) - Permanent Contract, immediate start

Salary: £23,505pa (including a company bonus scheme and additional benefits)

Location: Daventry (NN11)

Hours of Work: Working 5 days out of 7 - Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 6:00pm (including weekend hours on a rota basis)


* Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of employees, including performance management, organising rotas, sales training, and delegating tasks

* Motivate staff to give their best results, praising them when things go well and appraising them of improvements where necessary

* Assist the Store Manager with the development and growth of every aspect of the store. This includes ensuring all revenue and growth targets are achieved and effective control of all costs within reasonable jurisdiction

* Take full responsibility for the site/region during Store Manager's absence

* Provide a high level of customer service at all times to existing and potential customers

* Converting sales enquiries and maintaining site standards

* Selling storage space to customers, ensuring the customer has all relevant information, explaining features, benefits, and pricing solutions

* Achieve sales targets by maximising all sales opportunities, including responding to customer enquiries, overcoming objections, upselling products and services, and closing sales where possible

* Dealing with customer enquiries

* Completing customer contracts

* Resolve customer complaints, address customer concerns and explain company or store policies

* Prioritising administration tasks daily

* Debt chasing where required

* Liaising with contractors

* Maintaining site cleanliness, keeping it presentable and organised for customers who come on-site

* Assisting all customers on-site with any issues or queries they may have

* Prepared to work alone at times and have key holding responsibility for site


* Previous experience in a similar Customer Service Manager or Duty Manager role is essential

* People management experience is essential

* Experience within a retail environment and/or sales is highly desirable

* Used to working to targets and KPIs

* Experience working in a sales environment

* Team player

* Confident

* Comfortable selling and promoting a product and service

* Self-motivated and can manage their time effectively

* Excellent communication skills

* Good numeracy skills are required
