Salary up to £40k + uncapped bonus

We are seeking a Research and Development Manager to join our client, one of the most successful providers of online learning solutions in the UK.

The role will will analyse and evaluate new products and research new technologies, ideas and trends in the marketplace

So, what will you do?

* Develop research programs, incorporating current developments, to improve existing products that will enhance the LMS platform and bring real business value

* Research the development of online learning technologies and trends reporting on potential opportunities for growth within the tech ed sector

* Plan and deliver customer focus groups, evaluating feedback that will contribute to continuous product improvements

* Assess the scope of research projects and ensure they are on time and within budget

* Report on any technical product issues that are discovered during evaluation and manage product testing, trials, efficiencies, and effectiveness of the final product

* Present research findings in a clear and transparent way to SMT and colleagues across the business

* Attend networking & conferencing events spotting useful technologies and coming up with proposals for how these could be used

* Collaborate with product development, sales, marketing, curriculum and web teams to achieve project objectives.

* Build positive working relationships with customers, partners and learners

* Keep current with changes in technologies and the tech ed sector

Skills required?

3 years proven experience in and R&D role

Highly knowledgeable about research and development, analysing market strategies and existing market trends

Interviewing users, customers and setting up, running focus groups

Experience working in a software development environment or tech ed sector

Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about new technology and the opportunities to support learning
