Client Details

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading FMCG business based in Luxury offices in Cheadle Stockport. This company are a global market leader in their sector with an excellent reputation for staff retention and developments. They are undergoing an exciting phase of growth and are looking to expand the finance team as a result.

Description

The Assistant Management Accountant role is initially a temporary assignment.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparation of the company's financial information and reporting requirements in accordance with company and statutory requirements (both internal and external

Key role in supporting the FP&A team providing reporting, analysis and insight.
  • Support in the accurate reporting of the region's financial information both internally & externally
  • Maintain and build key relationship with the Finance Shared Services functions for all Finance activities (covering GL, Statutory, AP & AR)
  • Alongside the Finance team proactively identify risks and issues, implement process improvements and strengthening the overall control environment
  • Play a key role in the month end management accounts process, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner and meeting required deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy of all postings by analyzing and understanding the P&L, BS and Working Capital for the region
  • Reporting and analysis of key KPI's
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and monthly forecast process
  • Maintaining, improving and updating key forecasting and analysis tools
  • Analysis support of commercial initiatives
  • Ensure all internal targets are adhered to and issues resolved in a timely manner
  • Play a supporting role in the Audit process, both internal and external
  • Assist in SAP costing across EMEA
  • Maintain a strong control environment and SOX compliance
  • Assist the EMEA FC / EMEA Finance Director with any ad hoc analysis or queries
  • Ad hoc support for all Finance activities when required

Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

Be ACCA/CIMA Part qualified or Qualified by experience

Have experience of P/L Analysis and Budgeting and Forecasting

Any SAP experience desirable but not essential
