Human Resources Manager - Fixed Term Contract Cheltenham

Are you an experienced HR Manager or HR Business Partner looking to work for a professional and growing business? Do you have a proven track record of developing and implementing policies and procedures? Are you CIPD Level 5 qualified and looking for a role to start immediately that allows home based working? Attivo Group is looking to recruit an HR Manager on a fixed term contract for a period of 6 months to ensure the HR function within the business runs smoothly and efficiently, being a source of information and support to the HR Director, managers and employees. You will work closely with the Senior HR Officer to deal with a wide range of generalist HR tasks, including TUPE consultations and employee relations. This position can be home based, with an expectation to work from our Head Office based in the centre of Cheltenham once a week. We also offer flexible working and can support part time hours for the right candidate.

We provide our advice and service through Attivo Financial Planning, one of the very few genuinely Independent, Chartered, Occupational Pension Specialist, financial planning firms in the UK.

Main responsibilities
  • work closely with the HR Director and Management Team, providing them with guidance and support on a full range of HR activities to ensure a fair and consistent approach to people management across the Group
  • manage starters and leavers process ensuring all legal and regulatory information is obtained
  • manage all employment documentation ensuring that it is up to date and in line with legislation
  • be the main point of contact for monthly Payroll adjustments, supplying all information to ensure it is run accurately and on time
  • ensure the absence management system is kept up to date with new starters, leavers and reporting lines
  • manage the administration of the Group Benefit schemes including Private Medical Insurance, Death in Service, Critical Illness, Income Protection, cash plan and gym memberships; and manage the renewal of each ensuring that premiums are agreed by the Board
  • keep personnel records accurate and up to date and in an accessible format whilst ensuring the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation are adhered to
  • dealing with ad hoc employee enquires in a timely manner and providing accurate information and guidance
  • advise on any urgent employee relation issues whilst ensuring that monthly requirements are still met.

Qualifications, skills and experience
  • CIPD Level 5 or above
  • committed to continuous professional development
  • ability to communicate and deal with complex, contentious and sensitive information
  • experience in a range of generalist HR activities
  • well organised, accurate and with high attention to detail
  • good time management skills
  • ability to forward plan, manage business demands and expectations
  • excellent communications skills
  • educated to degree level would be an advantage.

Salary and benefits

£45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.
