Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager - food manufacturing
Salary: £42-58,000 + bonus + benefits

It is a multi-technology plant with significant automation and is home to around 200 of their team. Their Lincolnshire site is a fast paced and ever changing environment, they can go from idea to implementation in a matter of days. Accountable for the engineering strategy across the department, to provide a high level of technical leadership and support to Engineering and Operations. Building and developing high performance teams by investing in their people. Ensuring the site preventative maintenance requirements are executed to the required standards and in line with our commitments to safe delivery, cost and quality. Also direct and lead team to support reactive maintenance activities with the day team. Coaching and developing the team to ensure they have the right skills and constantly striving to improve delivery and execution.
Direct reporting responsibility for Maintenance Leads across Lincoln including; Reliability Specialist, Maintenance Planner, Stores Lead and Engineering Buyer
Indirect reporting responsibility for the Shift Maintenance Engineers
Budget ownership for maintenance spend across the site
Through strong leadership, develop & drive the maintenance strategy, execution plan & program for Lincoln to meet operational requirements
Influence the effective implementation of standards and safe working systems withinmaintenance programs throughout the site.
Support the leadership in designing and implementing preventative maintenance and condition monitoring systems.
Work with the wider support functions to ensure effective execution of all shutdown and start up activities.
Ensure that all planned activities are executed to the required standard and as per the prescribed scheduled frequency
Provide support to Shift teams and Technician groups to develop functional engineering skills.
Ensure effective service is provided through the computerised maintenance monitoring system, SAP experience would be an advantage
Management of the stores team to ensure that there is an effective parts availability service and constantly review to ensure right stock levels and items
Drive behaviour and support teams to ensure all major breakdowns/gaps have a clear root cause analysis and that it is completed and communicated effectively
Develops positive relationship and drives improvement with key contractors and suppliers
Display leadership coaching & mentoring skills for peers, and all levels of the business
Analyse and interpret data on top loss pareto and link to reliability improvement work streams
Indentured time served Engineer (min. NVQ Level 3), minimum HND or Degree in a relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
Demonstratable experience in a Maintenance/Engineering Leadership or Managers role, with experience of leading & coaching teams
A real passion for developing teams and making them a success for the future
Strong Electro-Mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of MBP (Maintenance Best Practice) is essential
Experience of working within a fast paced FMCG environment would be an advantage
Lean manufacturing experience
Strong RCA / Analytical problem solving and Project Management skills
Excellent influencing, communication and decision making skills
Strong team player who adopts a continuous improvement approach
