This position will be onsite, working with my client who specialises in delivering world-class consultancy and products in a range of sectors including Automotive, Rail, Marine Motorsport, Medical and more.

They are looking for a confident and competent Test Engineer to support their growing portfolio of electric driveline testing projects. You will have a strong background in electric machine testing, technology and HV systems. This is an 8-month contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working closely with other brand divisions, scope, plan and deliver test programs including electric machine, power electronics, EDU
  • Define detailed test specifications based upon customer requirements
  • Define test rig configuration including control, instrumentation and calibration requirements
  • Responsible for constructing and enforcing safe working practices within the test facility in line with H&S legislation and company policies
  • Interpretation of test results and findings and dissemination to engineering teams or external customers
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping of facilities and workshops

Experience and Education
  • Engineering degree or higher (electric propulsion focused preferred), however, other qualifications may be considered subject to relevant industry experience
  • Experience in test rig installation and operation
  • Knowledge of HV systems, HV rig installations and HV safe working practices
  • Sound working knowledge of automotive BEV (battery-powered electric vehicle) and/or HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) driveline architecture
