This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or soon to qualify Clinical Psychologist to join West Dunbartonshire CAMHS. The successful post holder will join a well-established and growing Psychology team within the multidisciplinary team. You will deliver psychology input to children and young people who present with moderate to severe mental health difficulties as part of a friendly, supportive MDT, working alongside other psychologists. Supervision will be provided by senior psychologists within your team and you will be managed by Dr Karen Ferguson, Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
You will be part of a board wide network of approximately 70 psychologists working in Specialist Childrens Services with good links to both the University of Glasgow Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the University of Edinburgh MSc in Applied Psychology for Children and Young People. It is essential that you have a Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. It is also essential that you are currently registered with the HCPC as a clinical psychologist.
This is a full time post, Monday to Friday 9.00am 5pm
