We are a small, local charity supporting organisations and goups to deliver services to support their communities. Our support is availlable to all not for profit organisatons and encompasses a wide range of services from governance issues to recruiting volunteers - whatever a group needs to be sustainable.Service ManagementTo be responsible for the line management of Involve staff engaged in delivering services supporting non-for-profit organisations across Mid Devon Regularly review, with staff how services are delivered and make recommendations for improvement to the Chief Officer including opportunities for new provisionRepresent Involve on relevant Forums and Groups, representing the Chief Officer when requestedActively participate in partnership working, representing the perspective of Involve and the Mid Devon communities Ensure that services are known to and accessible by the communities of Mid DevonWrite reports for Trustee meetings, funders and Annual ReportDevelopment work Enable VCOs across Mid Devon to build their organisational capacity and development potential through one to one support;Work with organisations and groups to identify learning needs and work with the services support role to enable access to high quality and diverse opportunities to improve skillsSupport individuals in communities across Mid Devon to develop their ideas for projects and groups to supportOversee community building activities and highlight any suitable activities that may sit within this role working with the community builder roleWorking with the services support role ensure the sector is provided with relevant information, guidance and/or general advice to groups to enable them to deliver their services effectively.Training and LearningOversee delivery and planning of local learning programmes working with the services support roleDeliver local learning where appropriateForums and NetworksOversee forums, networks and consultation/engagement activities working with the services support roleDeliver forums, networks and consultation activities where they don't fit comfortably within the roles of staffCommunications and marketingEnsure communications with the sector and other stakeholders are effectiveGeneralKeep abreast of legislation and policy relating to charities and voluntary organisations and the wider not for profit sectorMonitor activities associated with own work including the impact and effect of workAttend regular supervision and annual appraisal with line managerUndertake other duties as required that fall within the scope of this role
