Client Summary:
My astute Rolling Stock Turnkey Solution client have a heritage of major contracts behind them, a track record in restoring railway carriages with turnkey technology. They are currently working on a project restoring class 323 & 165 vehicles which includes upgrading the complete interiors and underframe of the vehicles. The modernisation of these vehicles includes the interior strip out and refit of rolling stock carriages, which relates to all aspects of the vehicle.

Job overview:

The main remit of the role is to carry out mechanical & electrical modifications in regards to the redesign and enhancement of a rolling stock breaking system. This includes gearboxe inspection and change.
Final check documentation to be filled out and sent off to quality sign off.
You will be working from packs that include diagrams and instructions regarding the specific Modification that needs carrying out. You will be stripping out Electrical & mechanical installations and carrying out potential modifications dependent on the outcomes of in service effects to the train.

Person Profile/Experience:
*Comfortable reading Wiring Diagrams and Engineering Drawings
*Previous experience working on Vehicles (Rolling stock/ Aerospace/ Automotive)
*Electrical Modification experience desirable but not essential
Qualifications:

* Ideally apprentice trained Electrician or alternative qualification in Electronics (e.g. NVQ Level 3)
