Are you an experienced engineer in fault finding & repair of mechanical & electrical equipment who would you be comfortable diagnosing, fault finding and repairing small to medium sized industrial/commercial cleaning equipment/machines?

REED Engineering are currently working with our client who are an industry leading provider of industrial cleaning equipment.

The Role

You will be based at the workshop, responsible for fault finding, repair and servicing on all Industrial Cleaning Equipment to set, company quality standards and within defined timelines. The Workshop Engineer will also be skilled at identifying parts required to affect the repair and order parts through the company database system, whilst ensuring that at every stage of the repair, job live updates are recorded on SSL.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all repair/refurbishment jobs are completed to set quality standards and to define criteria per machine "job family" and to time
  • Test machines in line with company guidelines before delivery to customer to ensure quality criteria has been achieved
  • Refurbish machines to set quality standards and guidelines including spray painting, cosmetic repairs and valeting
  • Perform full fault diagnostics on machines to identify all repairs needed to bring the machine to the required standard.
  • Ordering of parts through SSL for stock or to complete a repair
  • Booking in and out parts within SSL, adhering to current company procedure
  • Ensure that all machines and ancillaries are PA tested and correctly labelled before delivery to customer

Working Hours:

Monday- Friday 8am - 5pm (1hr lunch)

Person Requirements
  • Educated to GCSE level or above with grade C (or equivalent) pass or above in English and Math's
  • Electro/mechanical experience (fault finding and repair)
  • Previous experience in either white goods OR automotive would be desirable due to similar principles
  • Confident using hand tools to diagnose, fault find and repair electro-mechanical equipment
  • Strong communicator
