Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum max depending on experience and location

As Senior Assistant Company Secretary you will join the Legal and Secretariat division of the British Business Bank (BBB). This is a newly created position and will provide proactive and effective Company Secretarial support to the BBB group, subsidiary boards and their committees. This support will include managing processes relating to Board and Committee meetings and working with the leadership teams to ensure the timely publication of high-quality materials to the BBB Board portal.

Reporting to the Deputy Company Secretary, you will be expected to work closely with Bank Executives, Committee members and Chair. You will help to minute meetings, track the completion of actions arising from such meetings and maintain Board and Committee records. You will provide guidance and advice relating to Governance and you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of statutory records for entities falling within the remit of the Bank's Secretariat and for ensuring the timely submission of statutory filings. You will assist in the production and approval of Annual Reports and be expected to keep abreast of any developments in approach to common reporting items by our industry peers.

It is essential that you have experience and enthusiasm for minute taking at the most senior level. You will have substantial knowledge of the Companies Act and extensive experience in a similar role within financial services. You will act with integrity and discretion and you will have excellent communication skills. It is critical that you have a methodical approach and keen attention to detail. You will be collaborative and committed to an environment of continuous improvement. You will be educated to degree level, or hold equivalent experience, and it would be desirable for you to be an Associate or Fellow of the ICSA.
