Neuroblastoma UK is the only charity focusing solely on funding research into Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer which affects children, particularly those under five years old. Around 100 children are diagnosed with Neuroblastoma every year in the UK and our mission is to find a cure for neuroblastoma to deliver new, effective, and kinder treatments for these children through funding leading research projects.The Fundraising Executive role is a temporary role that will be key to supporting Neuroblastoma UK through its busiest period and enabling projects that are key to the charity's growth. You will get great experience and work with a small but committed and friendly team.ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Fundraising Manager to deliver the implementation of a new database, and the transfer of data securely and accuratelyFulfilment of merchandise orders such as Christmas cardsLiaising with event participants to encourage and assist with their fundraising goals.Being the first port of call for supporters and potential supports who get in touch with the charity via telephone, email and social mediaProcessing donations and sending outgoing thank you letters to individual donors and groupsSending out information, t-shirts and fundraising packs to supporters who request it, or manage a volunteer to complete this taskOther duties as requiredPerson SpecificationEssentialMicrosoft Office skills - Word & ExcelExcellent organisational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detailAble to work well alone and in a teamExcellent phone mannerSympathetic to the aims and values of Neuroblastoma UKDesirableExperience of working in the third sectorExperience of working with a databaseUnderstanding of social media platforms inc Facebook, Twitter & Instagram
