My client is long standing Secondary academy school based in Streatham. A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Finance Officer to provide first rate management of the schools budget and financial systems.

Working closely with the Trusts Finance Manager and with the support of two junior members of staff, this role focuses on the day to day management of schools finances, from ensuring that the invoice cycle runs smoothly with all income and expenditure recorded, through to managing the expenses, reconciliations and banking responsibilities. You'll help collate monthly management accounts and work with all school budget holders, offering advice throughout the school year on any variances to budget and adjusting as required. The role also works with the Trust's finance team, collating various monthly financial and operational reports and assisting with audit procedures as required.

This role would suit a suitably experienced school finance officer, looking to make a step up or alternatively, a candidate without the sector experience, but who can display broad finance experience, up to management accounting level would also be encouraged to apply.
