Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Then this could be the role for you!
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school in the Barnsley, S75 area who are seeking a new Teaching Assistant on a part time basis
We are therefore seeking an experienced support staff member to support children with Special Educational Needs. This role could involve working across Key Stages but will be mainly based in KS1.
You will work with SEN students identified with ASC (autistic spectrum condition), children with mental health issues and children needing speech and language support, on both a 1:1 basis and with small groups and will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning. As some children may express challenging behaviour, we are looking for someone who can follow behaviour policies and additional training such as Team Teach may be beneficial for the role.
Pay: £66.30 - £80 per full day
Start Date: 11th October
Our ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would be;
Experienced supporting children with ASC/Speech and Language
Have a good knowledge of behaviour management techniques
Be able to motivate children who are disengaged from their learning
Experienced supporting children across the Key Stages
Teaching Personnel can offer you;
