Alexander Daniels are working with a well recognised distribution business located in Warwick who are seeking a Finance Anaylst to join their newly restructured finance team.

We are looking for an engaging and proactive Finance Analyst to work with stakeholders from across the business to critically analyse, challenge and report upon financial and operational data.

Key responsibilities will include:

Business partner the business, analysing, reporting and communicating financial performance and supporting operational and commercial KPIs and metrics
  • Provide financial support, analysis and challenge to the business including financial performance reports and decision support analysis
  • To provide key business stakeholders with management information
  • Work independently with the wider business to support budget and forecast preparation
  • To identify and implement improvements to processes and controls
  • To prepare and review the financial statements / reports for the relevant business area in a timely and accurate manner
  • To review the variances to budget and forecast and ensure actions are raised with the relevant parties in the business to support driving performance improvements
  • Participation in cross finance and business initiatives to drive value
  • Producing and communicating financial and other KPI information with non-finance colleagues on a monthly basis

Ideally you will have/be:
  • Be working towards professional accountancy exams
  • Have experience from within a relevant financial environment
  • Have a thorough understanding of management accounting, financial analysis and reporting techniques
  • Ideally have financial modelling experience
  • Have a thorough understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Have strong ability in working effectively with accounting systems, financial planning tools, spreadsheets and database systems
  • Be a competent user of the MS office suite
  • Work with initiative, demonstrating self-motivation and the desire to develop
  • Be inquisitive with excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Be driven by solving problems innovatively and relish the prospect of designing and delivering solutions
  • Have the ability to challenge the status quo and continually seek improvement to systems, reports, information and data
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and confidence in your approach to work
  • Be service orientated, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people at all levels
