Our growing client based in Cambridge are recruiting a 100% fully remote Marketing Manager to engage and retain the existing user base and increasing the reach of the business via online mediums. This is a brand-new role, and you would be joining at an exciting time and responsible for developing the marketing strategy of this scaling business. The role will also include supporting the launch, development, and membership recruitment strategy.

This is a broad role where you will have the opportunity to truly spread your wings across all digital channels, although the initial focus will be on understanding the existing client base, developing the pricing strategy, reviewing data, segmentation and setting up KPIs to measure performance. Although the job is primarily working from home, travel to London or Cambridge may be required from time to time. You'll work directly with the Director and you will be able to immerse yourself in the market; understand the product offering, the customer, paths to purchase, the wider landscape & competition. The appointed candidate will work with reviewing the current data and make recommendations on how to segment and capture more data, you will review, recommend, set up and build a CRM that plugs into our email marketing platform. Set up and manage goals, establish a clear understanding of the key data points and metrics centred around GA. Set clear KPIs and metrics against which to measure, analyse, report on performance and review regularly.

The successful candidate will work with all digital activities and help to scope, develop and review the websites, ensure best practise techniques are followed to ensure user-friendliness and maximum conversion rate, tracking goals across the site. You will work with the SEO to ensure the business is covering the basic hotel hygiene' factors with regards to SEO and is factoring in good SEO practice on both websites. Ideally you will have experience of PPC and you will be required to set up a Set up a PPC plan in line with marketing strategy and ensure ads are optimised to drive traffic to the website with a high conversion rate, constantly testing, learning, and evolving to get better ROI from paid search. You will be responsible for email & CRM activity, a key channel for the business, where you will work on retention and upgrade strategies and two-step acquisition in order to retain customers and maximise value per customer.

Experience, skills, and qualifications


A marketing degree or relevant marketing professional qualification or equivalent experience
At least 3-5 years marketing experience with an emphasis on digital channels
A proven track record of digital marketing (SEO, PPC, paid and organic social and email marketing)
Experience of developing CRMs
Initiative and an ability to work independently

Experience of working within the education sector
Experience of setting up a CRM
Experience managing web development products
