As a Data Engineer you'll be working on BI development, using cutting-edge technologies to analyse data and deliver high value insights to senior stakeholders, that will influence the design and delivery of DWP services, positively impacting millions of users. You'll be developing rapid prototyping and reusable code, collecting data from multiple sources, interpreting requirements and designing, developing and deploying reports and dashboards to better serve our 111,000 colleagues.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Experience with one or more BI/MI/Visualisation Tools, for example but not limited to: Splunk Dashboarding / Qlik / Power BI etc.
Experienced in data analysis to ensure the correct data is used within the dashboards.
Designs, develops. codes, tests, corrects and documents simple programs or scripts under the direction of others.
Aware of the need to translate technical concepts into non-technical language and understands what communication is required to internal and external stakeholders.
Understands the appropriate media to communicate findings. Shapes and shares communications cognisant of the audience.
Experience in on or more programming languages eg SQL / JSON / XML.
Awareness of cloud technologies and key services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
