This role is for a Nursery Team Leader to assist in the emotional, physical, and educational development of young children. As a new member of staff, you will be working 40 hours a week as a permanent member of staff.
To fulfil the requirements of this role, you will be responsible for the day- to-day running of the nursery. As a Nursery Team Leader, you will be the first point of contact for any staffing issues, including request for time off. You will need to carry out regular audits within the team and make sure that every staff member is performing to the best of their ability.
In addition to this, part of your role is to fulfil the role of a key worker. As a key worker, it will be your responsibility to ensure that each child is participating in classroom activities. You will need to make sure that all staff members are appropriately trained and are following the appropriate EHC plans. If you suspect that further training is needed, you will need to ensure that this is carried out in a timely manner.
If there are any requirements suggested by Ofsted, you will need to carry these out to the best of your ability. As a Nursery Team Leader, you need to ensure that all nursery initiatives are fully embedded and best practise and legislative requirements are observed in all areas.
The successful Nursery Team Leader will:
Have experience of leading a team and dealing with staff issues
Understand health and safety at work requirements
Have previous experience in working within early years education
Be able to display knowledge of
Hold an appropriate early years qualification, with at least a level 3 qualification in education
Have an enhanced DBS on the update system
