SENDhelp are searching for an enthusiastic MLD Teaching Assistant to work in with our partner school from September.

Located in the lovely town of slough, this school provides specialised educational support to pupils aged 2 - 19. This school prides itself on being able to deliver good quality learning by well trained staff, within a caring and dynamic environment. Every child is given a unique EHC plan that allows staff to tailor learning to suit their unique needs.

Our partner school works closely with members of the community and other Healthcare Professionals in order to care each child holistically and best support their educational development. As our new MLD Teaching Assistant, you will enable the growth and develop of each child in your care, and work towards increasing their confidence and Independence.

This role is for a MLD Teaching Assistant to work with secondary aged pupils from September on a full-time basis. For the right individual, this position can extend to a more permanent placement.

The successful candidate will:

Have previous experience working with students with MLD and other Special Learning Needs
Have an updated DBS or be willing to pay for a new one
Be supportive and understanding of pupils with special education needs and be willing to play an active role in their learning

By working closely with SENDhelp, you will have access to specialised training programmes designed to increase knowledge in childhood education, completely free of charge. You will also be able to work closely with a dedicated consultant, who will mentor you throughout your time with us.
