Deliver the vision of the engineering function to support the Coventry operational business requirements.
Ensure equipment and facilities maintenance is completed to a high standard ensuring machine availability
is maximised and all compliance standards are met at all times. This includes the management and timely
implementation of permanent corrective actions against all causes of failure and ensuring equipment life is
maximised while achieving optimum value for money. Works under the responsibility of this position will
also include a range of projects, process improvement, equipment repair, and maintenance including
overhauls, installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations

Coordination of all daily maintenance tasks by line
Creating an accurate critical path for each maintenance day, ensuring best use of
resource available
Ensure all shift engineering tasks (PM and Reactive via KPI set by Maintenance
Supervisor are recorded in an accurate and timely manner and entered onto the computer system
Form effective relationships with all the senior shift engineers to ensure maintenance
continuity across shifts
Support the day based engineering leadership by providing accurate engineering data as required
Attend the morning engineering accountability meeting prioritising any immediate actions with the senior shift engineer, utilising RPN as measurement.
Support all site FMECA and RCA activities by providing accurate engineering data as
For planned maintenance activities, ensure the correct level of resources are available for the workload.
Liaise with the engineering stores function to ensure spare parts are available for planned activities
Liaise with planning to agree maintenance downtime requirements and forge a strong
working relationship
Ensure all calibration work is planned and completed
Provide information to the Maintenance Supervisor to compile weekly KPI's
Engineering maintenance adherence
Proven experience in a similar role.
Automotive knowledge required
The successful candidate will demonstrate an combination of the, technical skills and
experience and personal and technical competencies outlined as follows:
Strong computer and manufacturing simulation skills
Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC's
On Call availbility / responcibility
Accuracy of facts and data recorded on systems as provided by day and shift based
engineering leadership.
Appropriate external resource to assist in scheduled maintenance tasks
Forming effective relationships with manufacturing shift managers
Forming effective relationships with shift engineers
Forming effective relationships with OEM's
