My client is a specialist engineering consultancy working exclusively in mechanical and electrical design for the construction industry.

Since their inception my client has concentrated on providing a high quality of personal service to a range of clients. The projects include commercial, residential, data centres hospitality, hotels, education and leisure.

The Role

As a Senior or Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering designs and managing a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistent high-quality service for clients, ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed, and profitability is achieved.

Responsibilities will include the full cycle of projects from client briefs and planning, though to design and supervision and finally completion. Its likely to suit a designer who likes to take responsibility for their own work load and thrives on a professional commercial environment.

Experience Required

* Experience as an Electrical Engineer dealing with designs from client briefs to completion.

* Design experience in Electrical and Mechanical building design systems.

* Experience in electrical system design and coordination for a range of buildings.

* Able to convey ideas clearly during site meetings

* Delegation of work

* Confident user of a range of software including Amtech, Dialux and Relux.

* A degree in Electrical Engineering would be beneficial but not essential

* Chartered status is preferred but not essential.
