Job Description - Site Installation Engineer
The role of site installation Engineer is to support the company's growth and development by executing installations to the highest quality, on time and to the satisfaction of our clients.
The role is customer facing and flexibility including the ability to regularly work away from the factory in order to completion installations.
Principle Responsibilities (working with or under the guidance of the Site Installation Team Leader):
* Ensure that safe working practices are always adhered to representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner.
* Read and understand general arrangement and manufacturing drawings in order to undertake and complete installations following risk assessments and method statements provided (RAMS).
* Safely utilize and operate access and lifting equipment in order to undertake installations.
* Flexibility for working within the main facility during busy times and when installations requirements are reduced. This will include general fabrication and welding and/or basic fitting requirements.
* Timely and accurate completion of installations recording all activities clearly on company timesheets.
* Safe and tidy demobilization of site including appropriate disposal of rubbish and waste as governed by site requirements and/or as detailed in the RAMS.
Skills and experience required:
Experience in both mechanical shop manufacturing and ideally site installation
Good communication skills
Approachable and patient when dealing with customers and other sub-contractors
Professional, conscientious and self-motivated
Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
Ability to work as part of a team
Attention to detail
Qualifications required:
UK Driving License
NVQ in manufacturing or appenticeship (fabrication & welding)
CSCS card (Gold preferable).
Forklift truck license desirable however training can be provided
