Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: South Tyneside
Salary: 70£- 85£ per day
Start Date: Immediately

Here at GSL Education are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic SEMH setting in South Tyneside to provide an exceptional Teaching Assistant with a PE / Sports specialism Background . Working in a fast - paced and supportive setting you will assist with sports and PE sessions and activities, delivering to learners who have substantial barriers.

The setting caters for KS2/3/4 Learners with learning difficulties around social and emotional struggles and mental health . Your role will be working closely with pupils across school to give them the support they need to be able to learn , flourish and enjoy sport and physical activities Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.30-3.45.

You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service to be able to work with our clients or be willing to apply for one ASAP

The Ideal candidate must:

Have experience or the desire to work with school aged learners with additional needs
Have practical ability in any sports discipline
Be able to commit to 5 days a week work on a long-term basis
Have a Child or Child and Adult DBS on the update service or be willing to apply
be a confident, outgoing, and personable individual with a passion for helping people.
Have excellent people skills and be able to motivate reluctant learners
