This department is continuing from strength to strength, currently growing from 16 members of staff to 19. They are working with industry leaders and have secured contracts that require additional support - could you join this open and collaborative team?
You will be part of the cutting edge of teaching, supported by state-of-the-art computing suites including brand CISCO rooms. The college puts a lot of capital funding into these systems to ensure they are kept up to date and industry standard.
There is a very low turnover in this department, staff that work here have been around for many years and it is all down to the culture of openness and fairness that has been fostered.
This is a full-time & permanent role working across multiple campuses. However you won't be expected to travel between these on the same day. The salary on offer for this post is up to £33,314 per annum inclusive of a 2x £1500 scarcity allowance paid during the year and for every year that the subject remains scarce.

What will you be doing in the role
You will deliver the Apprenticeships up to level 6 in: Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics & Software Engineering
In conjunction with the Degree Apprenticeships, you will also deliver FE Computing alongside the newer T-Levels
To be directly involved in the delivery and management of student learning within the Curriculum area
To be fully conversant with course regulations and specifications for the defined area thus ensuring conformity and best practice
To assist in the development and delivery of related programmes
To liaise with other staff to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning
To assist with securing quality improvement within the Curriculum area
To assist with monitoring student recruitment, retention and achievement and take remedial action where necessary
To use effectively the systems used in B&FC (electronic or otherwise) to ensure student success, i.e. e-tracker, Moodle, internal verification (This list is not exhaustive)
To be responsible for meeting recruitment targets including participation in interviews, Open Days and specific curriculum events
To maintain an awareness of Health and Safety at all times and ensure that students are aware of safe practices and procedures
The Ideal Candidate will have:
A recognised teaching qualification at level 5 or above (or willingness to obtain)
An assessors award is ideal, but not essential. You will be expected to gain one in your first year.
A relevant Computing qualification at level 6 as a minimum
Experience delivering Computing Apprenticeships & Degrees up to and including level 6
Knowledge of the upcoming T-Levels
For Software Developer specialism: Programming language experience specific to Python & C++
