Design Technology Teacher
Location: Greenwich
Salary: £165to £265 per day | M1 - UPS3 pay scale.
Start Date: Immediately
Contract: Permanent/Long Term

The Teacher of Design and Technology will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching with the aim of helping students develop a broad base of skills through practical, investigational and theoretical work across all Key Stages. The Teacher of Design Technology must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and imaginative way in both practical and theory lessons.

The successful DT Teacher will :

Be a qualified Design Technology Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
Contribute and engage in extra-curricular Design and Technology activities
Willingness to invest extra time outside of a lesson to ensure students achieve the best standard in Design and Technology across all Key Stages
Teach across all levels and abilities. Forest follows the new AQA GCSE & A Level Specifications.
Develop, maintain and stimulate pupils' curiosity, interest and enjoyment in Design
Plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive lessons to assigned classes.
Be prepared to innovate and devise imaginatively varied ways of teaching their subjects to inspire pupils
Select and use a range of different learning resources and teaching styles, appropriate to subject and topic
Carry out any reasonable subject-related duties assigned to them by their Head of Department
Contribute to the Department's devising and writing of new subject materials when required
