The successful Mechanical Engineer will be working on behalf of a leading UK-focussed downstream energy manufacturer, operating on one of the most advanced sites of its kind both throughout the UK and Europe. The company is a major fuel supplier in North-West England with customers including most of the major retail brands operated by the international oil companies and the hypermarkets, together with Manchester Airport and the region's trains and buses. This effectively means that whatever mode of transport you use in the region, it is likely it could be running on fuel provided by this company.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer;
To provide day-to-day support to optimise plant availability, performance, equipment reliability and cost. It is also expected that occasionally there will be a requirement to support issues with a longer term timeline
To ensure asset integrity is maintained and meets the requirements of health, safety and environmental regulations as required for a top tier COMAH site. This includes all aspects of static and rotating equipment.
To ensure compliance with the company, site, national and international standards with respect to equipment maintenance and to maintain the overall condition of the asset base and its operation
The Day to Day role is supported by a Senior who is responsible for longer term issues and reliability improvementsTo be successful in this position as Mechanical Engineer candidates will ideally have a background working as a Mechanical Engineer or similar, on a COMAH / Petrochemical site. Additionally, possessing a Mechanical Engineering degree (Meng, BEng, M Eng, B Eng, M.Eng, B.Eng, MSc, BSc, M Sc, B Sc, M.Sc, B.Sc) will be required, alongside at least 3 years experience in process plant operations.
