PRU - Hillingdon -ICT/ Computer Science Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Immediate Start**

Creative PRU in West Drayton is recruiting for a well-qualified ICT / Computer Science HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) who is available immediately! Pupils who attend have been diagnosed with challenging behaviour; ie CAMHs/ SEMH / ADHD/ ASD and are on (Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Age ranges are between 11 - 19 years old

You will be a well qualified HLTA and worked within the Computer Science/ ICT department at either a SEN School/ Secondary School/ PRU or Alternative Provision. Your most recent job is as either a HLTA OR Behaviour Mentor/ Learning Mentor / SEN TA/ LSA /Youth Worker. You must have great experience with behavioural SEN; ODD/ADD/PDA/CAMHS/ SEMH/ ASD and worked with children on both a 1:1 basis and in groups. Additionally, you have outstanding knowledge of computer science and ICT in a school setting supporting children at both KS3 & KS4. As a HLTA, you will be managing support staff and teaching small classes.

The Successful HLTA:

You must be a qualified HLTA with the certificate/ qualification OR very experienced SEN TA / Behaviour Mentor / Learning Mentor/ LSA/ Teaching Assistant in computer science and ICT
Confident in teaching ICT children on a 1:1 basis and small groups in this senior post
Must have worked in either an SEN School/ Alternative Provision/ PRU/ Mainstream School and or SEN School
Able to successfully de-escalate behaviour and great at building a strong rapport with young people
Can easily commute to West Drayton
In date DBS with the update service OR able to pay for a new one ASAP
