Teaching Assistants with British Sign Language skills looking for a full-time/long-term role in October?
TimePlan Education is currently looking for high achieving candidates with BSL for several schools in London.
You should have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs (although this does not need to be in a school setting) and a BSL qualification.
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and a dynamic, enthusiastic nature are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for career progression for candidates who would like to train as teachers in the future and who are keen to undertake a year's teaching assistant work before starting a PGCE (or similar).
A number of schools also provide teacher training.
The schools have proven track records, providing excellent support, career progression and personal development for aspiring teachers.
Other relevant experience (such as peer mentoring, SEN support in a home setting, youth work and art/drama club experience) would be advantageous.
