Job Role: Line Support Engineer - Azure / Managed IT Services / Microsoft Systems Centre
We have an exciting opportunity for a Line Support Engineer (2nd/3rd) to join a leader in development of System Centre solutions and Managed IT Services.
The Business:
Our client provides market leading Cloud SaaS solutions and helps businesses fluidly link their legacy software platforms and convert them into efficient and productive communicating platforms.
Main Role Responsibilities:
As Line Support Engineer you will have a vital role, helping to support, develop and improve current client services. Your expertise will assist with installation and ongoing maintenance of IT hardware and software systems across a wide range of customers businesses operating in both private and public sectors. Further responsibilities would show:-
Be a key point of contact for the Business at high level including internal stakeholders.
Input to deployment and migration of business-critical applications, working with SCCM/MECM.
Working with Active Directory to migrate users and aid with application deployment.
Utilising the latest Microsoft Cloud Technologies, including but not limited to Azure AD.
Encouraging and supporting staff with key projects
Carrying out site visits during projects and conducting ongoing evaluations
Support and encourage all technical team members in their respective roles
The above gives a strong indication to the expected role but may include other relate tasks
Skills and qualities required.
Someone who can hit the ground running and adapt to a close-knit team lead environment
Key business application deployment experience is essential
Windows 10 deployment experience is essential
Experience with SCCM/MECM is essential
Experience within a large-scale tech lead organisation
Azure AD experience is essential
Microsoft Server Certified
Microsoft Technologies aware including Server 2008+, Active Directory and GPO
3 years+ experience of providing IT support services or equivalent technical services
Prior infrastructure deployment, ideally within managed IT services using SCCM/MECM
Administration and maintaining experience of SCCM/MECM
MSI Application Knowledge
Skills & qualities desired
Experience of SAN Technologies
Previous experience of working with Cisco networking technologies (TCP/IP Concepts and Troubleshooting) where applicable
Working pattern based on - 37.5 Hour week (Monday - Friday)
Your qualifications:
Microsoft, Citrix, Hyper-V, Commvault or other relevant certifications
Your attributes:
A high level of self-motivation together with a willingness to learn new skills
A flexible and enthusiastic approach to the job
Good problem solving and decision-making skills
Can demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service and care
Good communication, organisation, and presentation skills
Strong time management and coordination skills
A full clean driving license is preferred
Salary, Benefits and Hours:
Start salary is £40,000 - £50,000pa - totally dependent on skills and experience
21 Days plus bank holidays
