We are recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, with an electrical bias, on a permanent basis, who (working as part of a small team) will be responsible and accountable for the installation, repair, adjustment and improvement of all plant equipment and machinery.

Hours

* 38.75 hours a week, Monday to Friday

* Two weekly alternating shifts (currently 05:40 to 14:05 and 11:45 to 20:10)

Salary:

* £35,000 to £39,000 per annum (which includes a 10% shift allowance)

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

* Experience of undertaking maintenance engineer duties (electrical fault finding, mechanical fault finding, defect rectification, routine maintenance activities),

* Electrical /electronic and mechanical experience and skills (60/40 split between electrical and mechanical),

* Familiar with a Quality Systems and processes within a maintenance environment,

* Excellent attendance record,

* Mechanically minded / hands on / practical approach,

* Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a good working relationship with production management and operators,

* NVQ / BTEC / City & Guilds level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or other relevant qualifications),

* Ideally experience with OMRON, PLC

* A background working for a company that has high quality expectations (automotive, pharmaceutical, engineering, chemicals) would be an advantage
