Remarkable Jobs are delighted to assist with the recruitment of a Commercial Manager, for a client of ours who have a growing presence across Life Science industries. Our clients main market segments are Drug Discovery, Academic Research, Toxicology and Molecular Diagnostics.
The 'Commercial Manager' position, is a multi-disciplinary role that requires a high level of engagement across all business units / departments, as well as owning the relationships with 3 rd party partner brands.
The ideal candidate for this role, will be a strong commercial leader with experience working in Life Science Research markets. You will have proven experience as a leader across Geographically dispersed Sales and Marketing teams, to deliver customer satisfaction and exceptional revenue growth performance in line with our clients 5 year plan. You will also be expected to provide market insight to support innovation programmes and development and execution of an annual marketing plan. In this position, the commercial manager will have revenue / budget responsibility of round about 14M GBP across Europe so this person must have experience dealing with similar budgets.
'Commercial Manager' Key Responsibilities:
Create and fulfil annual marketing plans to deliver revenue goals within the assigned regional across the assigned Biotech product portfolios.
Lead and develop an existing internal and external sales team, as well as a technical support group.
Delivery of revenue and opex budgets - 1 year and 5 year plan
Manage strategic relationships with 3 rd party partner brands
Monthly financial performance analysis, reporting and forecasting
Deep understanding of customer drivers and behaviour in the life science industry, to ensure you have strong go to market strategies
Engage regularly with marketing teams to rapidly mitigate revenue gaps or capture new opportunities.
'Commercial Manager' Key Skills:
A degree in Biology, or a Life Science field
A minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience in a leadership role within Drug Discovery and Research markets (research tools)
Experience leading a team of up to 20 - this number will expand due to growth.
Experience working successfully within Pan-European/global matrix organisation
Results driven individual who wants to succeed in a commercial environment
Willing to travel within Europe and to the US as required (post pandemic)
A self-starter who is able to quickly integrate across the business
