An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Forensic Community Mental Health Service (CMHS) for an enthusiastic registered mental health nurse who is keen to enhance/develop their management and clinical skills in a Team Leader / MAPPA position.

This is a rotational post and the successful candidate will be based within the Forensic CMHS, No 8, The Bungalows, Stirling Road, Larbert. The candidate should have a commitment to the welfare of adults with forensic mental health issues. The post has a dual role and the post holder will have responsibility for managing the nursing team and having a pivotal role in driving forward delivery of care. The post-holder will function as the NHS Forth Valley single point of contact / public protection liaison as part of the multiagency arrangements for health referrals and requests for information from NHS Forth Valley Staff, Police Scotland, Criminal Justice Services, Local Authoritys, Scottish Prison Services (SPS) and other key agencies in relation to operational matters within MAPPA.

The post holder should have previous post registration experience within relevant areas and / or demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge, with management experience. They must understand the complexities of caring for individuals with a forensic mental illness and MAPPA.
