Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Welsh Medium Primary School Teacher for a Maternity Cover in a Welsh Medium Primary School within the Swansea County Council. The role is within the Foundation Phase, in a Year 2 class. The school is a caring, inclusive, and welcoming school and there is a clear emphasis on ensuring the wellbeing and raising the standards of all pupils in a safe environment. Most pupils' behaviour and attitude to learning are exceptionally good.

The ability to converse through the medium of Welsh is essential to this role.
-Qualified PGCE with QTS or equivalent
-Registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) in the necessary category

The school is situated in the village of Clydach and is maintained by Swansea local authority. There are over 250 pupils between 3 and 11 years old on roll, including 47 nursery children split into a morning and an afternoon. Welsh is the main medium of the school's life and work. Thirty per cent of pupils come from Welsh-speaking homes. A new headteacher has been appointed in the last two years.

In order to be considered for this role, you must be available to meet the school for two days where there will be an opportunity to meet with the pupils in the class and the class teacher to discuss planning, preparation and assessments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
