My client is an international bank. This role is based in the City of London, with flexible working offered (most of the team are in the office 2-3 days per week).

Job Description
The Treasury Funding Manager will be responsible for:
  • Intraday management of all appropriate bank account funding balances
  • Prudent, timely and accurate incorporation of new information into cashflow projections
  • Daily squaring of the NOSTRO, identification and clearing of reconciling items and cash accounts within all limits
  • Engagement with Group Treasury and working towards the collective prudent management of the Bank's daily and short to medium term cash and collateral resources
  • Develop and build an understanding of all the key determinations of relevant financial instrument pricing and instrument mechanics - linear interest rate derivatives, linear cross-currency interest rate derivatives, FX spot, FX swaps, FX forwards, repos, reverse repos, structured credit including securitisation issuance and floating or fixed rate notes
  • Ensure that pricing received is fair and accurate towards protecting the interests of the Branch, the Bank and its balance sheet
  • Provide fair, consistent and timely pricing to Front Office business segments in need towards smooth yet prudent deal execution within all approved limits
  • Review DCF documents and New Product Approval Applications (NPAs) to understand new and/or changing deals and risk positions on the London Branch balance sheet even if they are not held within the Treasury
  • Build rapport and relationships of trust with colleagues and leaders in the Branch
The Successful Applicant
The successful Treasury Funding Manager candidate will have the following background:
  • Graduate Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Information and Communication Technology, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields a pre-requisite
  • An interest in / background of Financial Services
  • Professional qualification such as FRM, CQF or CFA desirable but not mandatory
  • A robust understanding of the operational mechanics of linear interest rate derivatives - exchange traded futures, FRAs, interest rate swaps, cross-currency basis swaps and floating rate notes
  • Ideally, 2 years' experience in a funding and liquidity related role within a Treasury environment. However, this opportunity also presents itself to an individual with limited Treasury dealing and funding experience but who is willing to work hard to learn under the supervision of the London Branch Funding Manager.
  • Appropriate and relevant experience within a financial markets institution is critical should the applicant not have any prior dealing and funding management experience
  • An intimate understanding of the opportunities and responsibilities associated with high precision and deliverables
