We are seeking a Security Analyst to join our Information and Records Management team, in the IMT department. This team of 15 has responsibility for all aspects of information management and compliance with information legislation. You will lead on ensuring that our information and data is secure by regularly reviewing our existing security measures and implementing the necessary controls and management strategies.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
You will be based within a commutable distance of our Swindon offices. We will consider home working or hybrid working where you are based in both the office and home.
What you will be doing:
The overall purpose of this role is to ensure that Historic England has a sound technical
and information security posture by reviewing current provisions, making recommendations and developing plans for a sustainable approach to IT and information security.
You will work with internal stakeholders on the development of HE`s technical security strategy and roadmap, linking with Heads of Operations and Service Delivery to agree proportionate approaches to security concerns.
You will work with the Head of Information and Records to provide advice and
champion information security, ensuring that our policies and standards are aligned
with best practice.
You will be responsible for planning for Cyber Essentials accreditation and developing
plans and approaches to ensure that the organisation remains in good standing with
appropriate Government bodies such as NCSC.
Who we are looking for:
-Proven ability to undertake a security review and develop plans and actions to address concerns
-Experience of Cyber Essentials accreditation and of managing external security tests
-Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written) for a technical audience
-Able to work with people in a variety of roles, different levels and with third party contract staff
-A sound knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack
-Experience in information management and security along with the development of policies and procedures
