The post could suit a graduate from university or drama school or someone with professional experience with a desire to extend their technical skills, or an experienced designer.
The position is for a multi-skilled theatre technician who can provide set and costume design and construction support to the drama department and technical support to those running events and users of the school's Hampden Hall.
The appointed person will work with the drama and events departments, supporting the work of the Theatre, Calendar and Events Manager and Head of Drama. The post also supports the basic lighting and sound requirements at events in the Hampden Hall so a wide range of theatrical experience would be beneficial.
Bringing exceptional set/costume design and construction skills into the drama department, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high standards and an ability to work as part of a successful team.
This position will span 37.5 hours per week, operating on a flexi-time basis (with time off in lieu of overtime during busy periods such as production weeks) during term time, plus 3 weeks during school holidays.Why Emanuel?
