An exciting opportunity has emerged to lead the development and delivery of the Professional and Practice Development activities for Nursing and Midwifery throughout NHS Tayside.
We are looking to recruit a nurse or midwife to join our team on this opportunity. The post holder will be responsible for leading and implementing learning governance in accordance with national standards and relevant legislation and the operational delivery of all nursing and midwifery professional and practice development activities. This strategic leadership role will assure the effective use of nursing and midwifery education and learning infrastructures and funding to ensure learning provision is consistently focused on essential workforce priorities and service redesign. The post holder will lead in developing and supporting our professional and practice development infrastructure for current and future needs, promoting a culture that improves quality and enhances the delivery of person-centred, safe and effective care.
The post holder will be educated to Masters Level, have senior experience in an educational field and in leading the successful application of transformational practice development to realise person-centred and healthful cultures within a healthcare context. They will have a high level of competence in relation to professional leadership; project and people management, transformational practice development, strategic planning, education and training; and research and development.
