Aurora Brambles School is an independent day school in Lancashire providing specialist education for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The main purpose of the role As our Driver/Escort, your role will be to provide a safe, efficient and effective transportation service for pupils who use Aurora services, acting within Aurora and statutory guidance at all times to ensure the safety, health and welfare of pupils at all times. You will be required to collect pupils on a daily basis (am and pm) from their place of residence and transport them to the Aurora Brambles School, and return home from school at the required time. You must ensure a safe and compliant service of transportation of pupils, in line with the statutory driving legislation and Aurora policies and procedures in relation to health and safety and safeguarding. It will also be your responsibility to inspect, clean and maintain transportation vehicles in line with Aurora policies and procedures. Key Duties

Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate -
  • Must hold a clean, UK driving licence
  • Have a minimum of 2 years driving experience and be over 21 (for insurance purposes)
  • Have excellent communication skills, be tolerant and demonstrate a caring approach
  • Must be reliable with excellent timekeeping skills
