JOB TITLE: Junior Technician / Developer

DEPARTMENT: IT

REPORT TO: Applications Manager

LOCATION: London

NORMAL HOURS: 9am to 5pm (and as required to fulfil job requirements)

The Edenred IT development team is expanding and we're looking for talented people to join us to help develop systems that will maintain Edenred's market leading presence.

Edenred IT systems

We have a vast number of IT systems - from back office, middle office, client and ordering management and HTML5 Mobile web sites, which are used by external clients as well as Edenred's internal users.

With over 20,000 corporate clients over a million end users, IT systems are at the core of our business. We mainly develop using Microsoft technologies (C#, SQL server) and keep up to date with technologies such as MVC, SQL 2012, HTML5, Entity Framework, Node.js, React, Vue.js and use Agile methodology to build API enabled platforms.

Your role:

As a Technician/Developer in Edenred you'll be a key team member working using a mix of Agile and more formal process driven methodologies. You'll work closely with our Applications Manager and support team to deliver and update our IT systems, which would include configuring web sites and supporting existing applications.

Main Duties:
  • Develop, maintain and enhance multiple systems based on specification
  • Document functional and technical specification documents
  • Investigate, analyse, document and maintenance correction of reported defects
  • Develop SQL code
  • Create and implement test plans
  • Investigate, analyse, document and maintain reported defects
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:
  • Good analysis, problem solving skills and the ability to debug complex systems
  • Experience of the following:
    • C#.net
    • ASP.Net 2.0 - 5.X
    • ASP NET MVC 2-6
    • Visual Studio 2010 and above
    • HTML and CSS using Visual Studio 2010 / 2013
    • Knowledge of Knockout or Angular JavaScript Frameworks
    • SQL Server Management Studio and Enterprise Manager desirable
  • Flexible attitude and ability to perform under pressure
  • A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work
  • Good communications skills
