Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering on an exclusive, retained basis with our client; a high volume, manufacturing business based in the centre of Dundee who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will work as part of a small team and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all transactional deadlines are met whilst crucially supporting during the month end and year end routines.
On a day to day basis you will work using Sage accounting software and Microsoft Excel and you will interact with key queries from internal colleagues and external customers. In addition, you will be able to work using your own initiative or as part of a team and you will be confident managing your own workload in an efficient manner.
The key duties of the Accounts Assistant will include:
- Purchase ledger processing including reconciling supplier statements.
- Sales ledger including monthly reconciliations.
- Bank reconciliations .
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Processing employee expenses.
- Payroll on both a monthly basis including all amendments.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
- Cash management and banking.
- Supporting the Finance Manager during peak periods.
