The 2nd Line Cloud Hosting Support Engineer – AWS Role:
If you are a true believer of cloud, have an enormous appetite to learn and like the idea of joining the consultancy division in one of the fastest growing modern cloud distribution platforms – this is your chance.
You’ll be an influential voice in the support team, championing the support experience for consultancy clients. You’ll be a leader by behaviour (not by title), super collaborative and a sharer of support issue learning and discovery.
You’ll be working alongside engineers, solutions architects and subject matter experts who make the adoption of cloud technologies easier while operating at the leading edge of cloud technology.
What sort of technologies will you be exposed to?
+ Trouble-shooting and in-life support for customer solutions on AWS
+ The technologies supported include VPC, EPC2, RDS, S3, EBS, ECS, Lamda & ElastiCache
+ Using CI/CD frameworks such as GitLab Terraform, CloudFormation & Ansible
+ Operating server-side for escalations on newer technologies, websites & webapps
+ Making use of scripting languages for automation including Bash, PowerShell, Python
+ Windows & Linux operating systems
Your Day to Day in this role includes:
+ Incident response and in-life support
+ AWS infrastructure resource management
+ Troubleshooting in new client environments
+ Feeding back on build approaches to Solutions Architects and Subject Matter Experts
+ Contributing to new ideas for improving and maintaining a growing support department

You'll be ideal for us if you:
+ Possess 2 to 3 years’ experience as an AWS specialist SysOps, SysAdmin or Cloud Engineer
+ Have had previous exposure to webstack technology
+ Have experience in a MSP, digital agency or hosting environment
+ Are within 60 minutes reach of Farnborough
+ Excited to work in AWS environments with opportunities to develop experience in Azure & GCP
+ Have experience within infrastructure support (Linux & Windows)
+ Enjoy ownership and autonomy in problem solving
+ Like working in a tier-less support structure and collaborating with colleagues
+ Thrive on variety and resolving multiple challenges within a single support ticket
+ Are motivated to delight customers by owning and resolving issues
