SALARY: £35.78 per hour inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time.

HOURS: Variable, according to programme planning and requirements

We are looking for a number of highly creative and passionate Painting and Drawing Tutors for the 2D studies programme area within the School of Visuals Arts. We have a number of short art courses requiring tutors, and there are opportunities to develop new innovative and contemporary art courses in the expansion of our studio based art curriculum. We are looking for practising artists who can teach Drawing and Painting in both traditional and contemporary contexts.

  • BA Hons in Fine Art or similar equivalent qualification.
  • An active art practice.
  • Up to date knowledge of current and contemporary painting and drawing contexts.
  • Excellent subject knowledge of painting and drawing (both practical and theoretical contexts, historical and contemporary).
  • Passionate and enthusiastic for subject demonstrating creative approaches
  • Experience in working in adult education, FE or HE in academic delivery or development.
  • Experience of using digital technologies to support effective working methods.
