Formed in 2018, my client have been growing exponentially and are now looking to bring on another member to their team. They are offering flexible working but have a lovely office set just outside of Kidlington in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.

Job Description
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for around 15 companies, including holding companies and operating companies:
    • Ensure accurate calculation and posting of all items including revenue, payroll, doctors' fees, property costs, and general accruals and prepayments
    • Overseeing or carrying out monthly control account reconciliations across all companies (e.g. bank, debtors, cash in transit, creditors, stock, fixed assets, inter-company, PAYE/NI, wages control)
    • Analyse and provide explanations for trends and variances to budget/prior year/prior month
  • Cash handling reconciliations including checking daily/weekly clinic cashing up sheets, reconciling credit card takings/unposted remits/unbanked cash
  • Collation and checking of monthly payroll data, submission to payroll provider
  • Maintain details of property leases and oversee accounting and payment of property rent, rates, service charges
  • Calculation and posting of loan interest
  • Management of 2 accounts staff who have responsibility for bank postings and recs, A/P postings and recs/payment runs, fixed asset maintenance and accruals/prepayments postings
  • Oversee purchase ledger and supplier payment runs
  • Support cash flow forecasting process
  • Collation and provision of information for annual audits
  • Assist with completion of VAT returns
  • Liaising with entity Managers as necessary
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline finance processes
  • Assist with the integration of new entities
  • Ad hoc work as required by the business
The Successful Applicant
The successful Management Accountant will be:
  • Qualified or part qualified accountant
  • Experienced in producing management accounts in a multi company environment
  • Able to produce accurate monthly management accounts, able to identify and focus on areas of risk
  • Works to strict timetable
  • Experienced people manager
  • Strong Excel user, comfortable with data queries, pivot tables, sumifs etc
  • Experience in multi-site consumer facing business with high volume credit card and cash takings (e.g. dental, veterinary, retail)
  • Sage 50 cloud would be an advantage
What's on Offer
On offer for the successful Management Accountant is a salary of between £40,000 & £48,000 + benefits
