The role of Digital Content Executive will help the Rangers Charity Foundation to tell our story and visually demonstrate the breadth and impact of our community and charity work on all digital media platforms.

Boasting the fourth largest social media following in the UK for a football club charity, this is an exciting opportunity for a digital media professional with filming and editing experience to join our team and help us connect with existing and new audiences.

Intro to Rangers Charity Foundation

The Rangers Charity Foundation exists to be a force for good on behalf of the Rangers Family, showing compassion to those in need, tackling inequalities and creating opportunities for people of all ages to change their lives for the better.

Our comprehensive range of programmes in the community reaches thousands of children and adults offering life-changing opportunities in education, health and wellbeing, employability and diversity and inclusion.

We also work with charity partners each season to fund projects that have a lasting and significant impact locally, nationally and across the world. This season we are working with Glasgow City Mission, Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, Armed Forces related charities, a yet-to-be appointed National Charity Partner and Unicef, the world's leading children's charity.

We are very proud of helping thousands of fundraisers support causes close to their hearts every season by making in-kind donations and we assist various community initiatives such as our local food bank. Since its creation in 2002, the Rangers Charity Foundation has donated over £5.8 million in cash and in-kind support for worthwhile causes.

Context for this role

The breadth and depth of the Rangers Charity Foundation's activities have shown steady growth in recent years and this is set to continue. We would like to expand our communication function in tandem with the expansion of the Foundation's charitable and community activities.

The introduction of this newly created role of Digital Content Executive will help us to tell our story and visually demonstrate the impact of our work.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be a pro-active and creative digital media professional with a flair for story-telling and strong attention to detail.

They will have an aptitude and passion for the digital media industry as well as for the Rangers Charity Foundation and its ability to transform people's lives for the better. They should be able to demonstrate that they can deliver results whilst bringing an adaptable approach and range of professional skills to the role.

Responsibilities will include:

• Filming and editing content for use across Foundation communications channels, including website, social media and YouTube channels

• Concepting, planning, video production and post production work

• Conducting or assisting with interviews

• Coordinating and managing storage of video content

• Preparing and uploading content to social media

• Creating engaging graphics for videos and contributing to in-house graphics design for other creative materials

• Contributing to digital analytics

• Sharing responsibility for the development and delivery of the communications calendar, management of social media channels and creative input to marketing materials.

• Attending Foundation events for filming

• Contributing to the Foundation's overall strategy and charitable activities as a member of the wider team.

• To provide support to other members of the Foundation team as required.

Experience:

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent proven experience which should include at least two years' experience in a similar role

• Track record of successfully delivering engaging digital content which inspires action

• Excellent working knowledge of location-based filming using cameras and lighting equipment where required

• Working knowledge of graphic production and design

• Experience of organising and tagging digital content

• Familiarity with content management systems

• Photography skills desirable

• Higher English desirable

• Familiarity with sports and/or community-based work

• Knowledge of industry best-practices, including content delivery standards and usability
