We are looking for a creative, solution focused manager, who can inspire and lead professionals, work collaboratively with children/young people and their families and ensure that the statutory assessment process for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) runs effectively and efficiently.
This post will be relevant to those interested in a career in management and in supporting vulnerable children and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
You will need to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or discipline. You will need to be systemic in your approach, have excellent knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) systems and processes, and a successful track record of team working. You will be able to demonstrate effective working with a variety of partners, including parents/carers, and be proactive and effective in managing complex situations.
You will need to demonstrate in depth knowledge of relevant legislation and knowledge of systems of SEND in schools and settings.
Developing others will be an important part of this managerial role and ensuring effective deployment of the expert skills and knowledge of the team to meet local need. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.
The post holder will manage the South of Cambridgeshire, including South Cambridgeshire, Cambridge City and East Cambridgeshire. Travel to meetings across the wider County, including Peterborough, is also an expectation.
