Key Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2 years' accounting experience
CIMA, ACA, ACCA or CIPFA qualified or equivalent
Experience in managing all functions of a senior finance role.
Ability to use an ERP system
Proficient in MS Office suite
Demonstrable knowledge of HMRC and legal requirements
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
The role is ideal for someone with confidence and self initiative to manage the overall finance function on a day to day basis, reporting directly to management.
Flexibility and willingness to embrace change. Key Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the management of the Finance function
Maintaining accurate information across all ledgers to a Trial Balance position
Carry out all accounting data entry (accounts receivable, supplier etc)
Control cash flow
Establish monthly dashboards
Undertake internal audits to support the company's ISO 9001 quality management system
Develop and optimize the tools and procedures required for the proper functioning of the finance department
Providing top level Management Reports on a monthly and Quarterly basis
Liaising with external auditors and responsibility of the year end audit
Ensuring all fiduciary requirements of GVL are met
Supplier Statement Reconciliations
Creditor Payments
Management of administrative tasks
Bank Transactions including Bank Reconciliations
Completing all month end tasks to include; journal posting, accrual and allocations and ensuring all requirements are adhered to
VAT Reporting
Ensure all tax filings and reporting aspects are in accordance with all relevant statutory and government requirements
EC Sales & Intrastat submissions, Customs & Export procedures
Managing foreign exchange (main currencies Euros and US Dollars)
Processing payroll
Debtor/ Creditor and Ad hoc Reports for Management
