The Performance management and Quality team work across Copart to ensure the business is working efficiently and effectively.

You will support to the Head of Performance Management, Quality and Audit in the delivery, monitoring, management, and continual improvement of the Health and Safety of the business and the Environmental Management System in order to maintain certification to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

You will be the point of contact for Managers to provide them with the necessary support and will contribute to support the business in a recent initiative, working towards a Net Zero strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities


Ensure that continuous improvement activities are carried out in line with ISO14001 EMS to improve our approach to environmental issues and to achieving a Net Zero target.
Providing support to internal audits and management reviews to verify the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System.
In liaison with Departmental Managers, ensuring that site personnel are aware of, and trained in the environmental and energy related aspects of their activities.
Technical preparation of environmental permits and licences
Develop, maintain, and review the Environmental programme(s) to ensure compliance with current and future legal, regulatory, customer and corporate requirements, whilst developing and supporting a Net Zero strategyHealth and Safety

Ensure that continuous improvement activities are carried out in line with ISO 45001 H&S Management to improve our approach to a safe working environment
Completion of Health & Safety risk assessments and safe working procedures as directed.
Accurate collation of accident figures and production of monthly reports and statistics.
Overseeing of yard Health & Safety audits as directed and to a high standard.Essential Skills

NEBOSH General Certificate
Minimum of HND essential
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and an enthusiasm for environmental standards and compliance
Evidence of supporting continuous business improvement and delivering high performance standards
Ability to be hands on and lead by example
Good problem-solving skills
