Fund Accountant/Product Controller, £50,000-£70,000, West London, Financial Services

A unique and niche financial services organisation trading in futures seeks a proactive, hands-on, Fund Accountant. Based in West London you will join a highly capable, commercially driven team who are leaders in this niche sector of financial services. Located in a smart, local offices, there is parking available and easy access to and from the station. You will work alongside some professional and talented individuals who will provide plenty of support for you to learn in this role and develop your career in financial services and operations.

Your new role
Working with the passionate Head of Operations and Managing Director, this role will ensure the day to day operations run in timely, accurate and efficient management. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring important trading processes, controls, broker confirmation matching, daily reconciliations (trade/ cash breaks, daily PL and other reconciliations)
  • Managing future/options trade cycles from beginning to end, including trade allocations
  • Resolving any issues associated with transactions
  • Oversee the production of daily reports, P&Ls and operations reports
  • Checking month end is completed correctly by outsourced accounting firms
  • Liaise with auditors

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed as a Fund Accountant here, you will be:
  • A qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, etc) with either a financial services background or experience gained in a practice environment (ideally with financial services clients)
  • Wanting to work in a SME/boutique environment, in a job that is not a month reporting and accounting role, rather involving monitoring reporting and analysis on daily trading and compliance
